t’s not the bank’s responsibility to make payments affordable. That was the homebuyer’s responsibility to be sure the payment was affordable in the first place and that the payment was going to remain affordable. A great loan at a nice low rate is one of those bonuses of doing the right thing, paying your bills, and having great credit. People with lousy credit shouldn’t be homeowners in the first place.
